Year-Round Events
Professional Development
The Professional Development chairs host various professional development events, workshops, and networking nights for PSWE's members. They help to plan and lead events including resume reviews, plant tours, and informal networking events.
Mentoring Program
PSWE offers three mentoring programs for our members. One program connects underclassmen with upperclassmen to help with the transition into college and into an engineering major. The second connects upperclassmen with recent college graduates to help with the transition from college to grad school or a full-time engineering career. The third program connects undergraduate to graduate students here at Purdue for peer mentoring.
Fall Semester Events
Day with Industry
Day with Industry is a career fair with several company representatives and informal networking. It is a great chance for students to practice networking and learn more about the companies in attendance. Companies have the chance to interact with both PSWE members and other engineering students throughout the day.
Check out Industry Opportunities for more information on this year's Day with Industry!
Spring Semester Events
Corporate Banquet
Corporate Banquet is an informal networking event where students get the opportunity to meet with recruiters in a relaxed environment prior to the EXPO Career Fair. The event also serves as a thank you to our various corporate sponsors from the year. Students can have their resume critiqued and practice their interview skills through mock interviews. Companies can benefit from this event by having the opportunity to talk in-depth with prospective candidates in this intimate environment. Refreshments will be provided.
