Year-Round Events
Professional Development
The Professional Development chairs oversee professional development programming for PSWE members, coordinating workshops and networking events in partnership with companies. Their work includes resume reviews, plant tours, and informal networking nights that facilitate direct engagement between members and industry partners, supporting both professional growth and recruitment opportunities.
Mentoring Program
PSWE offers three mentoring programs for our members. One program connects underclassmen with upperclassmen to help with the transition into college and into an engineering major. The second connects upperclassmen with recent college graduates to help with the transition from college to grad school or a full-time engineering career. The third program connects undergraduate to graduate students here at Purdue for peer mentoring.
Alumni and Faculty Relations
We create year-round opportunities for members to connect with Purdue faculty across engineering disciplines and with recent alumni. Through undergraduate research panels, conversations about graduate school, and virtual or in-person chats with alumni, we help members learn about research, academics, and what life after Purdue can look like.
Fall Semester Events
Day with Industry
Day with Industry is a career fair featuring representatives from multiple companies, offering students the opportunity to network and learn more about participating organizations. Throughout the event, companies engage with PSWE members as well as the broader engineering student community, creating meaningful connections that support career exploration and recruitment.

Spring Semester Events
Corporate Banquet
Corporate Banquet is an informal networking event where students get the opportunity to meet with recruiters in a relaxed environment prior to the EXPO Career Fair. The event also serves as a thank you to our various corporate sponsors from the year. Students can have their resume critiqued and practice their interview skills through mock interviews. Companies can benefit from this event by having the opportunity to talk in-depth with prospective candidates in this intimate environment. Refreshments will be provided.
